The 'Mad Greek Cafe' is situated just off the I-15 Mojave Freeway heading east towards Death Valley in a town called Baker, which is just basically a truck stop with numerous food and gas outlets which outnumber the local residents. A Gyro is a Greek version of a Donor Kebab. For some unknown reason, the blacked out panel at the top presumably is the 'Mad' section. The reverse side of the sign is south-west facing so is exposed to relentless desert sun, hence the bleached out effect.
