"Flamingo Motel & Suites traces its roots to the midcentury glory days of family road trips in great big American automobiles. Vacationing families stayed overnight in one of those new-fangled “motels.” They parked their cars conveniently near their rooms, and watched Route 66 on the pay-television: Just put a quarter in the slot for the next 30 minutes! And who can forget “Magic Fingers?”
